Hi, I'm Sally Prosser. Welcome to that Voice podcast. Speaking with confidence and soul is the best way to strengthen your relationships, grow your business, and truly express who you are. I've helped hundreds of beautiful people break through fears, produce resonant voices, craft killer speeches, and get out there on stage or online to amplify their message. Let's drop the mic on today's episode.

Hello. I have such an exciting announcement. No, I'm not engaged. I already told you I got Taylor tickets. This announcement is about a new free challenge I'm running. I realized it's been quite a few months since I've run anything free live. So it was about time, it's quite catchy. It's called the Make Money While You Speak 5-Day Challenge. And it's not just about making money, it's about bringing in wealth and abundance in all its forms. I decided to do this because, oh my gosh, I feel so expansive and wealthy across my life at the moment. For example, let's take relationships. Patrick and I are going so well. He's so good to me. We have open communication and fun and all of the things I've ever wanted in a relationship. And I get asked all the time actually about our monthly relationship meetings, which were an absolute game changer.

I've been asked about how they work and what we discuss and here's the deal. I'll do an episode about it when we hit 12 months of relationship meetings and that will be in November. But it's also the other relationships. I'm really good with my mom and my sisters and friends. Then there's health. I've honestly never felt better. My yoga and Pilates is improving. I feel lighter than I have in years. There's my travel. Oh, we have a romantic hiking trip to Queenstown coming up. Then I've booked business class flights to London in November. I know I spent six weeks in Europe in May, going back in November. And this is a really good example to use about how when you are open to getting guidance from the universe, it is there. So there was a writer's workshop that originally planted the idea to go to London.

And then when I searched for a Vipassana, which is the 10-day silent course I wanted to go on, not only was one starting just outside London, a few days after the workshop, the applications for it opened the very day I searched it. And with these things they, they fill up straight away. So that's absolutely wild. And then, a podcast request and a coaching inquiry came in from London. I mean, synchronicities happen all the time. There are no coincidences. And when your energy is firing, whoa, what is meant for you? Flies in like you are a super attractor magnet. Dunno if that makes sense, but you know what I mean. So back to travel. So going back to London in November and then I've booked Los Angeles for February. Again, a few little seeds I'd planted. And next thing we find return flights for both Patrick and I for less than $700 altogether, plus a few points I had sitting there from a credit card I decided to get in June.

Like wild. What else? So my business, I just celebrated five years in business. I'm so proud of myself. I get to do what I love everyday. My clients love working with me. They love paying me. I'm working less hours than I ever have in my life and I'm making more money than I ever have in my life. I never set an alarm. I always have my 3:00 PM tea and Kit Kat with Patrick. Life is a dream. Now by this point, if you're still with me, you might hate me. Like far out, haven't one person be so happy and vibrant and successful? And if you've been following along for a while, you know that this wasn't always the case. I have changed so much, so many things including stepping out of the victim mentality of poor me and why me and how did this happen to me? And I feel like obstacles that would've crushed me in the past are just a blip on the radar these days. And the reason I'm sharing all this with you is because this is what makes me qualified to teach you how to make money while you speak.

Money is energy. And yes, I use the word money because of the play on the sentence, make money while you sleep. And this challenge, as I mentioned, is not just about money, it's about wealth and all the ways to feel wealthy in your life. You know, I know firsthand the number in my bank account has not always been proportionate to the feeling of wealth and abundance in my soul. What about you? Have you been most happy when you've had the most money? I know plenty of people who are rich in money and poor in spirit and stressed to the eyeballs. Now, don't get me wrong, I have a very healthy bank account, a thriving business. However, my wealth markers are internal.

And when I reflected on how it all came about, not surprisingly, my voice is the common thread. So in this episode, I wanna take you through three ways I use my voice to build a wealthy life. And these three themes are in the Make Money While You Speak challenge. The challenge is five days. There's a couple of bonus points in there. This podcast is just three points. If you are not registered for the challenge, head to the link in the show notes. This is completely free. You'll get a short daily video and then a daily live zoom call with me and a Facebook group. If you are out there living a crazy, abundant, wealthy life of your dreams like I am at the moment, then come along for the vibe. If you are not, but you wanna be, then it should be an absolute no-brainer to register for this challenge. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. And I could have absolutely charged for this challenge. And with how the content is coming along, I actually might create a course and sell it. But you know, I want everyone to have the opportunity to get these learnings because these learnings are truly life-changing. It's about so much more than speaking with confidence. It's about so much more than making money.

It's about a whole of life approach. And that starts with deciding what your definition of wealth is. What does a wealthy life look like for you? And what actions are you taking to build that life? That's such a key point because how can you build a wealthy life if you don't know what you're actually building?

Alright, so in this podcast, I'm gonna touch on the three ways I use my voice to build a wealthy life. And these are the steps I take you through in the challenge, as I mentioned, plus a couple more. Now, number one, I use my voice to attract my desires. I use my voice in my manifestation practices, right? So we really do speak our reality into existence. Every word we speak is first a thought we have. And when we speak, we literally send a vibration out into the world and the universe is listening.

Not only do I script what I want and I voice that script in a very enthusiastic tone, I record that script and I watch my language in the everyday. So a good example of this is language I use around money. So in the past I would say things like, Oh, I can't afford that. I don't have the money for that. I'm poor this month. And even saying those phrases for the purposes of this podcast make me feel off because now my language is so different, I would never say those phrases. Money comes to me easily and abundantly. I look in the mirror everyday and I say, This is what a wealthy woman looks like. Instead of, I can't afford it, I say, I choose not to put my resources towards it. And this is just with money. I apply the same principles to time, to weather, to speaking, to everything.

And in Day one of the Make Money While You Speak Challenge, I'm going to share with you more phrases to avoid, phrases that are pushing your wealthy life away, not bringing it towards you. And I'm also gonna share my framework for how I use my voice to manifest what I want. I've used this method to call in so many things in my life right back to manifesting Patrick four years ago, uh, to most recently my trip to LA. So when you change the language you use and the way you speak it, it changes the reality you experience. So what kind of experience are you speaking into existence? Ever noticed how people who complain a lot always seem to have something to complain about? So that's the first way I use my voice to build a wealthy life. I act like every phrase as much as possible is a spell I cast into the world. Now, the second way I use my voice to build my wealthy life is to amplify it. So yes, the one-on-one conversations are so important, but if you're trying to grow a business, build influence, have impact, it's gonna take a hell of a lot of time to make the impact you wanna make if you're doing it one conversation at a time.

Now, the internet is the easiest way to amplify your voice at the moment, namely social media. There's also this podcast, I hope it feels like I'm just speaking to you. The stats show hundreds of people are listening.

My voice being recorded right now is being amplified to hundreds of ears. Most of the sales into my business come from people who I've never had a conversation with or there's a quick conversation about logistics, but the selling is already done because they've heard me on the podcast, seen me on TikTok or Instagram or LinkedIn or Pinterest or YouTube or Twitter, which is now X. I will never get used to that. You know, maybe they've seen me at an event where my voice is literally amplified on a microphone across a room of people. It's a bit of a numbers game. And if you want to reach a lot of people thinking of the ways you can do that faster is key to building a wealthy life, especially if building your business is part of your plan to build your wealthy life.

My business would not be at the level it's at with the hours I work if it wasn't for the strategies I use to amplify my voice. Hands down that simple. So in the free Make Money While You Speak challenge, I will guide you through the ways you can amplify your voice. And I'll give you some key techniques to get more ears on your voice. Have you registered yet? I'm so excited for this challenge. It starts on September 4.

Okay. The third way I use my voice to build a wealthy life is to ask for what I want. And this has been a technique I've used throughout my life. I remember when I got my first job in radio, so I read the news at the local radio station, I was still at uni, and in one of my uni classes, a girl said to me, Oh my gosh, Sally, you're so lucky. How did you get that job? How are you already on the radio? And I was like, Oh, I just rang up the reception of the radio station. And they're like, and then what did you do? I'm like, then I asked to speak to someone in the newsroom. And then what did you do? Uh, then I asked if I could come in and do some work experience because I was wanting to learn more about radio journalism.

And then what? And then he said, Yes, Sal, amazing. That's great. Come on in. And we set up a time. And the question was also, how did you get the number? I'm like, Well, I think it was back in the day of the yellow pages or something. I just looked it up, but I just, I just asked for it.

And my dad, I'll never forget this story that he likes to share about how out of all his daughters, I'm the one that can ask for help the most. He says that if the car broke down on the side of the road, my older sister, she would, you know, go and change the tire. She'd do all the work herself. My little sister Cara, he says that she'd get on the phone to the NRMA or RACQ, you know, like the roadside assistance and demand, somebody comes and helps her. And then he used to say that I'd just get my high heels outta the back of the car and then just come around to the front and stick my leg out and wave down a passing car to help me. Which I mean, I wouldn't recommend that. Probably a bit dangerous. But it was kind of funny the way that he was letting me know that from a young age I was always good at asking for help. And on the face of it, that might seem at odds with my hyper-independent streak that I'm working on. However, I feel like it's less to do with asking for help and more to do with being okay with rejection. I find that's why people don't ask because it's a way to avoid the 'No'. Anyone in my uni class could have called the radio station like I did, but many wouldn't even think of it. And if they did, they'd be too afraid of getting a rejection.

So some of the things that have come my way from literally asking includes sales on Instagram, the webinar I did for Business Chicks, I literally sent an email, the workshop I'm running at Queensland House in London. I asked about it. Becoming a TEDx speaker coach. I asked if they needed somebody. Now there have been plenty of opportunities that have come my way without asking. The universe is beautiful like that, but you will not build a wealthy life by sitting back and expecting things to fall in your lap. You've gotta go out there and ask for it. Use your voice. Oh gosh, you know, I remember when I was a kid, this is like a core memory where I was struggling to say what I wanted to say and my mom was like, Use your words! You know, I guess from that moment on, I really started to do that and do that well. So I say to you, use your words. Use your voice. What is the worst that can happen? They ghost you or say no. And maybe it's having all those doors slammed in my face as a reporter or being ghosted so many times back when I was online dating. Maybe it's all the hundreds of hate comments I get online, I don't know. But being fine with rejection and even seeking out noss, believing it gets you closer to a yes will skyrocket your wealth building.

And let's apply this to relationships too. You know, when I verbalized and asked for what I wanted, I set those boundaries. That's what has made my relationships so healthy. And one of the main reasons relationships break down is because people haven't clearly asked for what they want. I know for me in the past, that's been a key reason. So in the challenge, the Make Money While You Speak 5-Day Challenge, I'm gonna share with you actual strategies to ask for what you want. So if you're like, Oh, I don't know what I want, or how do I just ask for it? Register for the challenge and I'm gonna take you through it.
