Five ways to stop losing your voice

Stop losing your voice and start caring for your voice by:

1. Doing voice warm-ups: Not warming up your voice before speaking is like breaking into a sprint without stretching.

2. Relaxing and breathing: If you’re not relaxed and giving yourself an adequate supply of well-controlled flowing air, chances are you’re straining your voice and inflaming your vocal cords.

3. Hydrating: If you’re doing a lot of talking you need to be doing a lot of drinking. Less caffeine and alcohol and more H2O.

4. Resting: Even when you’re warming up, relaxing and breathing and hydrating - your voice can only take so much. So if you’ve had a big presentation or a long week of talking, give your voice a well-earned rest.

5. Expressing your emotions: Recurring voice issues are a sign your throat chakra is blocked, and the best way to clear this blockage… Express those emotions. Say what needs to be said.
