This podcast is full of practical tips and tricks to get you speaking your best and mindset is a critical piece of the puzzle. I work on my mindset a lot and actually I feel like I'm having a spiritual awakening at the moment. So many thoughts about myself and my life being solidified and also challenged. So I'll give you an example. I went viral on TikTok and you might be here because you found me on TikTok. Now the first video to go viral, it's had like 1.7 million views - it's full of 'don't do this' and you 'should do that.'.

TikTok audio: Don't do these three things. If you want to sound confident, competent, and credible.

I watch it and listen to it. And I don't really like that woman. I feel like I wouldn't make that video now. And I only know that because I've been doing a lot of work on understanding myself and my values. And I wanted to share with you today, three mantras I've been using, which have a huge impact on my confidence, my mood, and hopefully the way I show up for all of you. Disclaimer, everyone's different by all means, steal these mantras, but don't feel you have to, you know, it's all about tuning into what works for you. And when you do that, then your physical voice will follow 100%. Believe that, know that.

So my first one is this, does it pass the vibe check? Does it pass the vibe check? And that's why I don't love that TikTok video because I don't think it does pass the vibe test.

You know, the vibe I'm going for is positivity, joy, self-belief, fun. And I really hope this is the vibe you're getting from my content. At least recently, I have been working lately on raising my vibrations. You know, I want to be sending out all the good stuff. And I like to think of it like wifi. You know, that wifi icon you've got like the one dot and then the three little curly bars arcs that go over the top. And if you check in with yourself and say, right, how many wifi bars am I, am I one dot today? Am I one dot, one bar? Am I full bars ready to go? And I think that's important because that is the energy that we are putting out to other people. You know, if we show up with just one bar, it's going to be really hard for the other person to get the good vibrations.

And I also believe that we tap into the strongest wifi signal in the room, the person putting out the biggest vibes, and that could be negative as well, which is why in a team, often one negative person who's quite strong can just drag everyone else down with them. So if we control our own wifi, our own energy, then we can always set the energy, not get the energy. We can be energy setters, not energy getters. And that fits really well with my mantra at the moment. Does it pass the vibe check.

Now, number two, I've had this one for a long while and it's been working really well for me. And it is progress over perfection progress over perfection. I saw a TikTok by Gary Vee the other day that said perfection is just another excuse for not doing. Perfection is just another excuse for not doing. Ouch - the inner higher achiever perfectionist in me is going on. My gosh. That's so mean, but it's so right. And if you're a perfectionist, you might relate to this. You might be thinking, Oh, you know, I just want things to be perfect. I want things to be great. And you think it's a good thing when really nah you're just being lazy and using it as another excuse for not do it now in My Six Week Voice Makeover, we've just finished the mindset week. And we talk about all the different thoughts that come up in your mind before you speak. And common ones are always, Oh, I'm worried. I'll say the wrong thing. It won't come out right. The words don't flow perfectly. You might have those thoughts too. I know. I definitely have. And I'd say to you what I said to the people in my course, which is, YES, you're right. You will say the wrong thing. It won't come out right. And words will not flow out perfectly. It will never be perfect. So don't even try. Rather than fearing it, not being perfect. Just know that it won't be. Know that it won't be, it will never be perfect. So don't let that ideal paralyze you into silence, paralyze you into not saying anything, progress over perfection.

The more you speak up in meetings. The more you do public speaking, the more you do Instagram stories or live streaming. I'm telling you the more you, it, the better you'll get- progress over perfection. And I use this mantra in my business as well. Things won't be perfect. And so just try. I do sometimes feel like I'm throwing spaghetti up against the wall and seeing what sticks, but you know what? I would rather be throwing that spaghetti and seeing what sticks than just not throwing the spaghetti at all and hoping it will be perfect progress over perfection. And also helps me when I feel that mountain of overwhelm, you know, that never ending to do list. I have so much to do, especially if you're in business, you will relate to this. There is a never ending to do list. There is a to-do list that could stretch as far as the eye can see.

And so rather than beating yourself up for not getting to the bottom of this, never ending to do list again, you never will. It's unattainable. Just celebrate the progress. You might not be able to do 10 things, but yeah, you did one thing today. Progress over perfection, do something.

And the third mantra I've been rocking in my mind at the moment is HELL YESS, Queen. When I look at myself in the mirror, hell yes, queen. When I'm preparing to go live for my course, hell yes queen. When I'm asking, do you deserve a massage, a facial then wine and cheese in front of a Nashville marathon today? Hell yes queen. I think we, especially as women need to reject the notion that being selfish is bad. Am I selfish? Hell yes, queen. You know, the more I give to myself, the more I have to give to others.

I was doing an Instagram live the other day and somebody jumped on and said, "wow, Sal, how do you stay so positive? Your positivity is contagious." And that's because I am filling my cup. So to speak. I'm constantly taking care of myself, filling my cup. And so giving from the overflow feels so damn good. Giving from the overflow is so easy. And I am at my best when I can give from that space. If you're like me, you have definitely experienced the feeling of trying to give from a very empty parched cup. It's not fun. It's draining, it's soul stripping. So love yourself. Be your own best friend. All of these things I wish I knew earlier in life, because you are the only person who you'll be with from your first breath until your last breath. And you know what? I want to go down with someone I think is awesome. Hell yes, queen.

So does it pass the vibe, check progress over perfection and hell yes queen. That's a little insight into my mind. These are the mantras that have changed my life for the better. And I'd encourage you to find the mantras that work for you. You might already have some mantras. I would love to hear what they are. Can you please send me a voice message on Instagram @sallyprosservoice. Send me a voice message with your mantras @sallyprosservoice. I would really love to hear what they are. Alright. I'll take this out with my mantras one more time. Does it pass the vibe check? Progress over perfection and Hell YESSS Queen!
